"Cricketing holiday"

"Chris and Lynda have just spent two glorious weeks in this apartment which for us was in an ideal location. Our ambition was to go to the West Indies to watch a Test Match. Started by booking flights as soon as the dates were announced then had to find accommodation. We searched all parts of the Island and eventually came up with this apartment. It was ideal because we were going with two friends and it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout and facilities were excellent, well maintained and very clean. The manager, Jacklyn, was very helpful and friendly. The owner rang on the night of arrival to check everything was OK. The location as described was tremendous. Located just north of the capital away from the commercial districts. 5 Mins walk to the beach or the Bus  also a fantastic bar just up the road. Would recomend to anyone who wanted to mix with the locals. Can't wait to go again!"
"A Very Good Stay"

"We enjoyed our nearly two weeks stay in the clean apartment very much.
The trustful and honest owner provided an apartment, that is really nice and worth the money. Everything that is written on the description will be found on its place and is true. The connection to our friendly and helpful manager Jacky was good and she made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank You.
The furnitures and everything is nearly new, and you will also find a ´balcony` with view to the ocean.
I can recommend this proberty to my friends.

Let me make a statement to the last mentioned noisy street:
In comparison to the general noise level on Barbados, it is not loud around the apartment.

A Holiday to Remember....."

"This was my first trip to the land of the sun, along with three of my friends.
Outstanding.....a beautiful apartment setting, midway on Holder's Hill. A beautiful stroll down to the beach which was about 7 minutes away, true to the description. The rooms were a decent size, comfortable and there was an area where we could all relax. Many thanks for letting us stay at the apartment. Hopefully we will all visit soon. It has already been a year this April that we were there. A combination of the right accomodation, the locals and the experience has made it a trip to remember.......Hopefully another trip to Barbados this year?"

"Our stay was great. the accomodation was very clean, modern and very nice location, only a short walk to the beach. all in all a great place to stay. would always go back."

"Had a fantastic time at GSV Apartment no 1. Standard of cleanliness very high (and I'm fussy!) So was the standard and range of equipment in the apartment. Everything listed as being there was there plus more. Welcome pack very welcome and extremely handy (bread/milk/margerine/fruit juice)! Air con very efficient. Apartments built to a high standard and obviously only built recently. Local manager very helpful and accessable and knowledgeable. Laundry facility (shared) very useful - did all the washing before I went home! Location ideal: edge of rural residential area, but within 5 minute walk of West Coast beach and bus stop and some restaurants. 10 minute bus ride in either direction takes you to a well stocked supermarket. Equally easy to get to all parts of the island by bus. Local information provided by apartment owner very comprehensive and useful (map and tourist information etc). We watched a troop of monkeys from our balcony in the garden opposite the apartments. Very entertaining! Also saw hummingbirds there. Locals very friendly. Beach is fantastic! Paynes Bay is where the catamarans come for people to swim with the turtles but we swam from the beach. Snorkelling great, particularly at Folkestone Marine Park, 10 minutes bus ride away. All bus journeys are 50p one way per person. Have already recommended GSV to our friends, colleagues and family and we would love to return."

Hi Wellington, just thought I'd drop you a line to thank you and and the ladies for the wondeful service we received in Barbados. The apartment was a delight, the vicinity is excellent, the customer care given by the ladies exceptional and all in all an experience worth its weight in gold (we even had a visit from the monkey family who sat outside the gate).
I will not hesitate to supply anyone who is interested in visiting this wonderful island your contact details knowing full well that they will get the same level of care we got. You and your family are a wonderful asset to the island and afforded  myself and Elaine a first class experience of the friendly nature of a wonderful culture."  Andy and Elaine, Yorkshire, England

My vacation in Barbados was awesome.  The fully furnished apartment was cost effective, spacious, comfortable and centrally located.  Actually, only walking distance to a variety of shops, supermarket, hotels, restaurants (both local and international cuisine) and of course the panoramic breath-taking ambience of the ocean and beach.
One has the option to cook too if so desired. It was no hassle to walked miles along the sandy beach in the vicinity of the famous Sandy Lane Hotel, where Tiger Woods got married and then an early morning swin in the warm blue ocean to complement my rest and relaxation quest.
Public transportation is easily accessible, only five minutes walk to the bus stop and $1.50 Barbadian dollars is the fare to take one into the capital, Bridgetown, and the neighbouring parishes. I think there is no need to utilize tour buses if one is adventurous or frugal, because it was so easy to get around the island self- directed. A golf course is in close proximity to the apartments on Holders Hill.

I must comment that the pre-arranged airport pick-up was welcoming considering it was my first visit, and the sumptious meal that was prepared by the hostess was very much appreciated. She made me feel comfortable and so I cultivated an attitude of gratitude that I met her.

Conveniently, there is a washing machine for laundry service incorporated in the accommodations expenses. I most certainly will recommend the apartment I stayed in to anyone going on a vacation to Barbados."  Pauline Palmer, Connecticut, USA

"The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a light airy feel to it. It was very convenient for the shops, beach and local spa and also for the local roti den! The people were helpful and friendly and the prices relative to England were very cheap. I would recommend you staying here if you would like a self-catering holiday where you can set your own pace."  Anne-Marie Hendriks, South London, England

"I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the apartment in Barbados. It was airy, clean, well maintained and spacious for two people, if not more.
The flat offered ample security which was further strengthened by the front gate locks. I think the support and efforts of the property manager were brilliant. She was never more than a phone call away and was more than accommodating to help out when needed. She really made us feel welcome.
The flat was far enough away from the hotels but sufficiently near enough to get to the beautiful beach and eating places. You can get to the bus stops quickly and within a short walking distance and the buses are frequent enough so that waiting is not a problem.
If anyone is looking for self catering, then this offers the ideal balance between doing something entirely for yourself or choosing to eat out locally and cooking some of the time. Supermarkets are near enough and local shops are close by for small sundry items. In fact, I recall going to the supermarket and doing a big shopping only once in the two and a half weeks we stayed. We bought things everyday locally which suited us as we did not have a car.
Travelling on a bus was fantastic - if you are up for living like the locals, it is the best and cheapest way to travel. I was happy to stand and boogie or sit down and tap my feet. The barbadians are friendly and always willing to help. The men offer seats to you even when you are not pregnant or carrying shopping! Ahhh - how lovely!
The holiday I spent in Barbados was the best I have had and it was a close call as to whether I stayed on there and made a life there. I still have the tan as a happy reminder of a lovely time."  Susan Westwood, Essex, UK
